In 2004, Mr. Milton started Milton
Engineering Consultants, P.A. in order to utilize his background
and expertise to assist his clients. This included experience
he had gained since 1996 working for a national forensic engineering
and fire investigation company.
Mr. Milton has over 13+ years of experience in
performing structural analysis, foundation and roof investigations,
vibration damage analysis (including blasting), and fire damage
evaluations for both residential and commercial structures.
Mr. Milton also has experience in reconstructing
construction-related accidents and performing ingress/egress evaluations,
including evaluating the slip resistance of walking surfaces. |

| Prior to working for this national
firm and after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil
Engineering from the University of Florida, Mr. Milton secured a
job with Florida Power and Light as a Nuclear Energy Engineer at
the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant. His responsibilities included
providing technical supervision to maintenance crews, root cause
analysis of equipment failures, and identifying system/component
anomalies for plant structures, compressors, HVAC systems fans,
and small centrifugal pumps.
Most recently, Mr. Milton has completed training
provided by the US Army Corps of Engineers to qualify as a Structural
Specialist Responder for Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) operations.
Mr. Milton is a member of the Florida US&R Task Force 4 Team
based out of Central Florida. In this capacity, he is deployed
when the Task Force is activated to respond to natural and man-made
disasters.
Mr. Milton is affiliated with various engineering/industry
organizations, including National Society of Professional Engineers
(NSPE), Florida Engineering Society (FES), American Society of Civil
Engineers (ASCE), and the International Code Council (ICC). He is
also a certified user of the English XL Variable Incidence Tribometer
and a State of Florida Certified Auxiliary Law Enforcement Officer.
Mr. Milton has been a licensed Professional Engineer
in the State of Florida since 1997 and also holds Professional Engineering
licenses in the states of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, North
Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
